Located at the intersection of Interstate 40 and Interstate 81, and less than 35 miles from Interstate 75, Jefferson County offers businesses ready access to major shipping and trade routes. U.S. Highway 11E and State Highway 92 both run through the county and provides easy access to the interstates and neighboring counties. Two general aviation airports are located on each side of the county—Moore-Murrell Field in Morristown is just 10 miles away, and Gatlinburg–Pigeon Forge Airport in Sevierville is 20 miles away. Norfolk Southern railway runs through the county and operates in 22 eastern states.
